Playlists and Scheduler

    Here's my scenario:
    I pre-record a two hour show. I have the file chopped in to 24-26 tracks in order to embed the meta tag info for each song used. I upload the tracks, create a playlist and then schedule the playlist for 9pm Thursday night.

    Is there a way to ensure that the DJBot doesn't pick up those tracks at other times? It will sound off hearing talkups etc. if played outside the context of the show.

    Also, is there a way to embed the necessary meta tag info for many songs in to one large mp3? Thank you

    I don't think that there is a way to do that. I have been following some tickets in support and found that if you want tracks to play during a certain playlist and not during other times just mark the tracks as not playable (I think. Sorry I do not have access to the new dashboard yet). They will still play for that show/playlist but not at other times.

    Hey Reaper

    My Schedule stuff still won't play right away for me at all

    and my server still won't restart for me either

    so what could be wrong then

    @kevin_prr

    In each track in the Tracks tab of your dashboard, there is a checkbox called "enable". If you uncheck that box they should not play during standard rotation, only if they are included in a playlist. I should warn you there is a quirk right now with building standard rotation playlists, if the track has already been included prior to disabling it, it will still be in the list.

    @homer23 there probably will not be an option to restart your server anytime soon. As for your scheduler, I don't have the ability to help you with that. I provide basic support help.

    Hey staff

    i thought people could restart there servers in the past

    because it said this to me on my v2 dashboard in my add-ons tab area

    FYI Your broadcast will be will be restarted to apply the changes. This may force some active listeners to reconnect. So you may want to make adjustments during a low time.

    so is that message old then

    If you need to restart your stream

    Open your dashboard....Click on the "Playlist" option....Click on the name of your station....Click on "Restart DJ Bot"

    Another issue with playlists I have been experiencing. I set the order of tracks and when I double check the playlist contents, the order has changed.

    @kevin_prr

    There's a bug in dragging and dropping tracks and changing the order. So if you've moved a track around, go back and check the playlist, it won't be in the right place. We're aware of it, but there's not fix yet.

    Thanks Tia. Luckily I was ok this past Thursday, was sweating it because of a sensitive guest. But tonight I checked the playlist and it had changed since first uploading. Reordering a few hours seemed to stick, phew.
