Hello fellow broadcasters. I am new to this whole internet radio biz. I would like a list of equipt that I need to talk live on the air or a website with a diagram or something. Oh yah, I am a MAC user. Thanks.

(I moved this to it's own thread so hopefully other broadcaster's will find it easier and provide some good answers for you. :-) )

I can only recommend a few things software wise because I do no use a Mac.

    You will need:

    1. At the very least, a Microphone.
    2. Mixer (not required but very handy)
    3. DJ Software - Megaseg is probably one of the more popular programs.
    4. Encoder - Icecast is a popular encoder for Mac users.
    5. Music/Content. This should be kind of obvious :-)

There are more programs available, this is just a few I could think of.

Radiologik works very well with my Mac. I also own Megaseg which I like, but it is more suited to the Mobile DJ I think. Radiologik was designed by a broadcaster, and is GREAT software. They have a demo as well. I use StationPlaylist on my Windows box 24/7 and use the Mac stuff if I need a backup. I personally own and have used almost every broadcasting software out there, and they ALL have their advantages and disadvantages. You really need to try them all out to see what works for you I think. That is half of the fun...... :)
