    ok im totally confused about the advantages of the second encoder......if i choose mp3 does this mean that my stream will be going out as mp3 and not aac ?....or both...im confused...i realize that alot of stations dont support aac and im registered with a cpl different ones like webradiocentral and amptracks.com....if i purchase this second encoder in mp3 format will then these survices work for me ?....any input is helpful folks thanks

    Technically, you are supposed to link to your station page from those listing sites, not link directly to your stream. But, yes, this would make your station compatible with these services.

    The advantages of using the second encoder as an mp3 stream is it is compatible with just about every media player and device out there, as well as TuneIn and SHOUTcast. Mp3 is the most common format for internet radio.
