  • reaperreaper July 2011
Just in case it's could be something else, what software are you using to broadcast?
  • KeollKeoll July 2011
Doublecheck the software on your own end too....The link you give up above doesn't lead to a working page.
  • djzeroonedjzeroone July 2011
    @keoll, my bad. Here's the site Http://broadcaster.com/channels/799-club-zero
@reaper I'm using radioboss, side note: everything worked on first try right after install. On mac, pc, android, iPhone & winmobile. I then closed radioboss. Hrs later I tried & that's when the problems started....
  • djzeroonedjzeroone July 2011
Lmao.... Http://loudcaster.com/channels/799-club-zero damn HTC word correction....
  • reaperreaper July 2011
@djzeroone, FYI, when you stop your live broadcast, it could cause your listing in Shoutcast and TuneIn to be temporarily be lost. It can take an hour or two for your station to get re-listed.
  • djzeroonedjzeroone July 2011
I figured out part of the problem...using my htc evo 3d phone (android), went to http://loudcaster.com/channels/799-club-zero . automatically my phone switched the site to mobile version (that won't play). Clicked on "SHOW FULL SITE". clicked on "LISTEN" then searched for "CLUB ZERO". waited till it redirected then clicked the play button. by now, i'm using the DESKTOP site version, NOT the mobile version. had friends test that process on another andriod phone, windows mobile & blackberry, now they can hear....POINT IS, this works only PC, MAC, IPHONE....NO ANDROID, WINMOBILE, BLACKBERRY mobile version...Must go to DESKTOP version. Frankly, that's not practical...GIMME SOLUTIONS, GIMME REASONS TO KEEP UR PRODUCT!!!!!
  • reaperreaper July 2011
But I noticed your station is not streaming so I sent an email to Brandon and hopefully he can fix this for you.
  • reaperreaper July 2011
To listen to your streams, I suggest you direct them to either the Shoutcast mobile app or the TuneIn mobile app. Tuning in using the full website on a smartphone can be difficult if not impossible. Both apps are free but you must broadcast to one or both.
  • djzeroonedjzeroone July 2011
so ud recommend shoutcast instead? not much of tech savvy, how do i setup up shoutcast like u said...lol, that's the reason im trying loudcaster, cuz it's the easiest...
  • djzeroonedjzeroone July 2011
    omg...just saw this wiki...like i said, im not tech savvy...can u pls help? http://wiki.winamp.com/wiki/SHOUTcast_Getting_Started_Guide
  • reaperreaper July 2011
In your DJ Dashboard, you can choose for about$5 a month each to have your station listed and stream through either Shoutcast Or TuneIn or both. This gives your station added exposure and then listeners can listen to your station via their mobile apps. Look under "Manage Resources"
  • djzeroonedjzeroone July 2011
great, but is there an easier way for me to set this up for mobile other than goin thru that guide????
  • reaperreaper July 2011
If you broadcast to either Shoutcast or TuneIn, it is already set up. Your listeners just need to install the mobile app on their smartphone to listen. And as I said, it's free.
  • djzeroonedjzeroone July 2011
i'll give it a shot 2moro...will let u no. thx again
  • reaperreaper July 2011
    A few things to remember:

    1. You must upload tracks to your DJ Bot to start your broadcast. I recommend at least 3 hours of music minimum and no more than 3 track per artist. The DJ Bot will ensure that your station stays "On The Air" even when you are not broadcasting live.

    2. Your live stream must be broadcasting something. If not and you have no music in your DJ Bot, your station will not broadcast anything.

    3. It is expensive to develop mobile apps, so it is to your advantage to point listeners to other mobile apps to listen until Loudcaster develops a mobile app.

    ok thx.
    1. i've uploaded my tracks, but, i need them to play continuos based on album. I mix a set then break them up by track #, 1, 2, 3...etc the way they're in DJ Bot now is scrambled, i don't want that!!! i want them to play by album, order of track #. how do i do that?
    2. workin on seting that up.
    3. how do i do that? download shoutcast player or server or what? that's the part i really could use ur help!!! kinda step by step or if u can be specific on directing me to the right place :)

I've been broadcasting on the Internet for a few years in various ways unfortunately there are rules you have to abide to be legal which will prevent you broadcasting complete albums in order if that is what you want to do. Off the top of my head I think you can't have more than 2 songs from the same album following each other and not more than 3 from the same artist in a row. Also you can only have 3 from one album in a 3 hour period so effectively 1 every hour and 4 tracks from the same artist or one every 45 minutes.

I'm listed at Shoutcast and Tunein you don't need to do anything just ask for it as part of your package.
  • reaperreaper July 2011
@songbookdj is correct. I will re-post pertinent parts of the DMCA.

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") was passed by Congress and details the rules regarding Internet broadcasts that are eligible for compulsory licenses. Below is a partial list of the rules that us broadcasters need to pay attention to. We have abbreviated these rules to include only those that likely would be relevant. The relevant rules which you must carefully review are as follows:

Our program must not be part of an "interactive service." For our purposes, this means that we cannot perform sound recordings within one hour of a request by a listener or at a time designated by the listener.

In any three-hour period, we should not intentionally program more than three songs (and not more than two songs in a row) from the same recording; you should not intentionally program more than four songs (and not more than three songs in a row) from the same recording artist or anthology/box set.

Continuous looped programs may not be less than three hours long.

Rebroadcasts of programs may be performed at scheduled times as follows:

Programs of less than one-hour: no more than three times in a two-week period.
Programs longer than one hour: no more than four times in any two-week period.

We should not publish advance program guides or use other means to pre-announce when particular sound recordings will be played.

We should only broadcast sound recordings that are authorized for performance in the United States.

We should pass through (and not disable or remove) identification or technological protection information included in the sound recording (if any).

This is Copyright law in the US and not Loudcaster's policy. We all must follow these rules.
